Engineered for Durability and PerformanceDesigned with a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) enclosure and Class F insulation, this three phase AC induction motor offers robust performance. The corrosion-resistant finish and precision-machined foot ensure stability and extended lifespan, even in challenging industrial settings. Its sealed deep groove ball bearings and protected IP55 rating provide added reliability against dust and water ingress.
Versatile and Efficient OperationSupporting both direct on line (DOL) starting and star/delta connections, this induction motor delivers efficient 3.7 kW (5 HP) power output. Its high efficiency (IE2) rating results in low energy consumption and operation cost. Capable of both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation, the motor suits diverse applications, while the S1 duty cycle allows uninterrupted, continuous operation.
Easy Installation and MaintenanceWith a foot-mounted design and precisely machined alignment, installation is straightforward. The low maintenance requirements are attributable to air-cooling, robust construction, and high-quality deep groove ball bearings. Optional thermal protection can further safeguard the motor, while a noise level below 70 dB ensures a quieter working environment.
FAQs of Foot Mounted Three Phase AC Induction Motor:
Q: How is the Foot Mounted Three Phase AC Induction Motor installed and aligned?
A: Installation is done using the precision-machined foot, ensuring stable alignment on any flat surface. The motors compact dimensions (approx. 460 x 220 x 260 mm) facilitate placement, while the standard foot-mounting allows easy integration into existing setups.
Q: What types of industrial environments is this motor suitable for?
A: Designed with a corrosion-resistant finish and an IP55 TEFC enclosure, the motor is ideal for environments exposed to dust, humidity, and occasional water splashes. Its robust build and range of -15C to +50C operating temperature allow use in diverse industrial applications across India.
Q: When should thermal protection be considered for this motor?
A: Thermal protection is recommended for applications involving high ambient temperatures or variable loads. It can be provided on request and enhances safety by preventing overheating during continuous operation.
Q: Where can I use this induction motor?
A: This three phase AC induction motor is suitable for machinery requiring continuous, reliable power, such as conveyors, pumps, fans, compressors, and other industrial equipment. Its high starting torque and S1 duty rating support demanding, prolonged use.
Q: What is the process for connecting the motor: star or delta?
A: The motor can be connected in star or delta configuration depending on the voltage supply and application requirements. Typically, for 415 V, star connection is used for starting, while delta connection is suitable for running at full load.
Q: What benefits does the IE2 high efficiency rating provide?
A: IE2 high efficiency results in reduced energy consumption and lower operational costs. It also contributes to less heat generation, prolonged motor life, and supports compliance with international energy standards.
Q: How do I ensure optimal performance and longevity for this motor?
A: Regularly inspect the motor, keep the environment clean and dry, and ensure correct installation with firm foot mounting. Maintain proper ventilation for the TEFC cooling and, if possible, install optional thermal protection for challenging operating conditions.
